The Washington County Virginia Sheriffs Office was established in 1776 and has grown to its current staff of 95 full and part time employees in order to keep up with the Countys increasing population. Our agency is comprised of the Administrative Division, Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations, Litter Control, Protective Services, Communications Division, D.A.R.E. and School Resource Officers, Special Operations Division and Animal Control. We are dedicated to serving our profession, our agency, our county and our citizens.
